VACANCY: WORSHIP MINISTRY LEADER/PASTOR

Riverton Baptist Community Church is a multicultural, multigenerational, multisite church located in Perth, Western Australia. We exist to be a biblical, Spirit-led, evangelistic, caring community of all ages and many cultures, passionate about growing followers of Jesus.


We are seeking a Worship Ministry Leader/Pastor, and welcome applications from women and men who share our vision and can mobilise others to pursue it. While experience in worship ministry is preferred, we are also willing to invest in developing a suitable ministry candidate or student with the right character, calling and potential.


The Worship Ministry Leader/Pastor will lead and develop Riverton Baptist’s worship ministry in alignment with the church’s vision and direction. The role will involve coordinating a team of around fifty volunteers, mentoring worship leaders, musicians and technicians, building healthy teams, and cultivating worship that is biblically grounded, contemporary, culturally aware, creative and centred on Jesus, communicating the gospel meaningfully in a post-Christian society.

Requirements:

  • A baptised Believer with an evident personal love for Jesus Christ and a commitment to his mission in the world.
  • Relevant theological and/or musical qualifications, or progress towards completion.
  • Experience in worship ministry. An audition will be required.
  • Ability to lead and develop a large volunteer team, with strong interpersonal, emotional and cultural intelligence.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • The right to work in Australia.
